Well hello again!

Hello everyone, sorry for the long absence, trying to get everything in check....people to please, money to be earnt blah blah blah...

Anyway you join me again at the start of a week with plenty to talk about!

Top Gear has changed (or is due to change) quite a lot in the coming months and as far as the Top Gear Trio are concerned, all is not lost! They are coming back (soon) with a show to rival the old one- exactly where that will be is a slight grey area but still, they'll be back and will no doubt give the Beeb something to sweat over and I for one cannot wait! I'm also eager (although slighty apprehensive) to see what Chris Evans has got in store, not to mention whoever passes the auditions to join him as hosts on the show. Being a fan of the old Top Gear format, it'll be weird to see the show back without the familiar dry wit and car banter from the trio but here's hoping something good will follow in their wake. More Top Gear whining to come in my next post.

Moving on from Top Gear now and in other news: Greece still can't pay their bills (but to be honest who can these days), the big wigs fancy building a new third runway at Heathrow airport and of course Wimbledon is back sparking a craze for strawberries and cream, patriotism and all things summery.
Also, the news that 30 UK citizens out of the 38 victims killed in the monstrous attack on a beach in Tunisia have been transported back to the UK to be reunited with their grief-stricken families and friends to await an investigation and inquest into their deaths. Such tragic news which once again highlights the power and destruction one individual is capable of. My thoughts are with the families whose lives will never be the same again, and I do sincerely hope that poor excuse of a human being is caught soon before he destroys more lives and so justice can be done in the names of those families and of course the victims.

On a slightly brighter (and hotter) note, you may notice it's rather sunny outside- hooray! Queue the douzens of  Instragam, Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat posts all praising the glorious sunshine....and some posts from those who don't like it quite as much. But whether you like it or not, it is here to stay for a few more days at least! In fact today broke records as being the hottest July day since records began, peaking at a whopping 40 degree's in some parts of the UK- that's hotter than Rome and Athens! I wonder who actually started those records, and what the first recorded temperature was??

On to personal news now and since my last post, I have managed to get an offer for an intern as a blogger on a wedding service website! Went for an interview and after some nerdy number crunching and talks about future projects with them, I got offered the placement!
Also, I have been able to finally catch up with my best friends from uni by going back to Portsmouth for a long awaited party weekend- it was amazing to see them and after a year of having to settle into being grown ups, it was brilliant for us all to let our hair down too. This and I have also seen some blockbusting films such as the hilarious 'Spy' and the epic story of prehistoric proportions, Jurassic World which of course broke records at the box office (no surprise there, it was a good film with some laughs in there too). If that wasn't enough, I also have a little trip to Rome planned with my best friend soon and these high UK temperatures seem to be training me up for the scorching temperatures I'm looking at in Rome.
I have also discovered some new things too; my own will power when it really comes to it, that I can almost bend time to fit everything into my schedule without too many hiccups, that I can make friends (turns out I'm not as socially awkward as I first thought!), that my friends can sing and make pretty cool new music, and last but certainly not least, I have discovered the sickest but funniest game I've played in a while!

By the way, the game is called Cards Against Humanity- with a group of like minded (and open minded!) people you can have hours of fun!

The music? Well the band is called 'From the Feet Up' and they have just released their latest EP, Safety Illusion (click the link to listen). Some great original songs there and amazing covers too so give it a listen, I'm sure he'd appreciate it!

So, I think I'll leave it there for now before I completely bore you to sleep! My next post about the latest Top Gear happenings will be coming soon so brace yourselves for that!

In a while, crocodile....
